Hello Michael and all,

Just a heads up if anyone has tried installing UNAFold on a 64-bit Win7 machine. The default location is set by Windows to be Program Files (x86), and Unafold won't find that location automatically. So either force the install into Program Files, or manually edit the paths (I could not find the respective paths file, so I just re-installed into Program Files.

I noticed that too, but

I noticed that too, but unfortunately wasn't able to do much about it for a while. The Windows installer is supposed to set the environment variable UNAFOLDDAT to wherever UNAFold actually is installed, and UNAFold is smart enough to override the compiled-in location with %UNAFOLDDAT% ($UNAFOLDDAT on other OSes) when it's set. However, it seems that that part of the installer may not work reliably.

UNAFold 3.9 (coming soon) has a 64-bit Windows build as well as improved Windows installers for both 32-bit and 64-bit that should obviate this problem. In the meantime, a workaround is to manually set UNAFOLDDAT=C:\Program Files (x86)\UNAFold\share\unafold (or wherever UNAFold is installed).
